Before you start

Clients can only book a provider during their availability. Business owners and dispatchers can set hours for anyone in Personnel. Nurses and providers can set their own hours under My profile.

Step 1: Open a provider's hours

  1. In the side menu, select Personnel and select a provider. (Nurses: select My profile.)
  2. Scroll to Weekly Availability. It lists each day of the week and the hours already set.

Step 2: Add weekly hours

  1. Select Availability next to a day.
  2. Set the start and end Time. These hours repeat every week on that day.
  3. Check the Time zone. Hours are set in the provider's own time zone. If it's different from yours, you'll see a warning.
  4. Optionally, choose a Repeat Until date for a schedule that ends, like summer hours.
  5. Select Add Availability.

To remove hours, select the trash icon next to them. You can add more than one block on the same day, for example a morning and an evening shift.

Step 3: Add extra shifts and time off

  • Additional Availability: a one-off shift on a specific date, outside the weekly hours.
  • Blocked Time: time off, like a vacation or personal appointment. Nothing can be booked during blocked time, even inside weekly hours.

Open Calendar. Availability shows as shaded blocks behind appointments, so you can spot open time at a glance.

Tips

  • No availability, no bookings. If a provider isn't getting visits, check their hours first.
  • Leave a little room at the end of a shift. A visit has to fit fully inside the available hours.
