Before you start

A base definition is a service your marketplace offers, like an IV drip or a B12 shot. It sets what the service is and how long it takes. Each provider organization then sets its own price for it (see Organization Pricing). You'll need the business owner role.

Step 1: Find your catalog

  1. In the side menu, under Global, select Marketplaces, then select your marketplace.
  2. Select the Procedures tab. Procedure Base Definitions lists every service and its duration.

Step 2: Add a service

  1. Select Create base definition.
  2. Enter a Name and a Description. Clients read the description on your booking page.
  3. Enter the Duration in minutes. This is how much time is blocked on a provider's calendar.
  4. Optionally, enter a Packaged cost in points, used when clients pay with package points (see Packages & Points).
  5. Select Save.

Step 3: Fill in the details

  1. Select any service in the list to open it.
  2. Information: name, description, duration, packaged cost, and thumbnail image. Select Edit to change them.
  3. Ingredients: type what goes into the service (for example, normal saline or vitamin C) and select Add.
  4. Add Ons: select Add to attach add-on groups, so clients can upgrade this service (for example, adding a B12 shot to an IV).
  5. Select Save.

Tips

  • Write descriptions for clients, not staff. Say what the service does and who it's for.
  • Set durations to include setup and cleanup, so providers aren't booked back to back with no gap.
  • A new base definition isn't bookable until a provider organization gives it a price.
