Before you start

Dispatch rules decide what happens when a client requests a visit: whether your team reviews it first, which providers are offered it, and whether providers have to accept it. You'll need the business owner role. Rules apply to one marketplace at a time.

Step 1: Open your dispatch rules

  1. In the side menu, under Global, select Marketplaces, then select your marketplace.
  2. On the Info tab, select Edit settings.

Step 2: Choose your dispatch rules

  • Require dispatch approval: new requests wait in Dispatch as Pending Approval until someone on your team approves them. Turn it off to send requests to providers right away.
  • Dispatch Strategy:
    • Default: candidates are ranked by availability and fairness, and the request is offered to the best match first.
    • Open: every matching provider receives the request at the same time, and the first to accept gets it.
  • Require practitioner approval: providers must accept or decline every visit they're offered. When it's off, a visit books automatically if the provider has matching availability. With the Open strategy, practitioner approval is always on.

Select Save.

Looking for travel fees? They're set per service area. See Travel Fees.

Tips

  • New to NomadMD? Keep dispatch approval on at first, so your team can review every request before it goes out.
  • Small team that wants speed? Try the Open strategy, so whoever is free can grab a visit first.
  • Have more than one marketplace? Each has its own dispatch rules.
