Before you start
A geoperimeter (service area) is the part of the map your organization serves. Clients can only book a visit at an address inside one of your areas. Each organization has its own service areas. You'll need the business owner role.
Step 1: Open your service area
- In the side menu, select Settings, then the Service Area tab.
- Your current areas are listed above the map, for example "25 miles around 30.2672, -97.7431".
Step 2: Add an area
- Select Add Coverage.
- Choose a type:
- Radius: a circle around a point. Enter the Radius (mi), then the Latitude and Longitude of the center, or search for a place to fill them in.
- Custom: a shape you draw point by point on the map. Use it to follow city limits, rivers, or highways.
- Optionally, add a Travel fee for this area (see Travel Fees).
- Select Save.
Step 3: Edit or remove an area
- Select the area's link in the list to edit it.
- Change the radius, center, shape, or travel fee, then select Save.
- To delete the area, select the trash icon.
Tips
- Clients outside every area can't book. Make sure your areas cover everywhere you're willing to travel.
- Areas can overlap. Use overlapping areas to charge different travel fees by distance.
- Dispatch also uses each provider's starting location to pick the closest person. See Provider Matching.
