Before you start
Sign in to your NomadMD dashboard with the email and password from your invite. Everyone uses the same dashboard, but your menu depends on your role. Business owners see everything. Dispatchers and nurses see only the parts they use. If something in this guide isn't in your menu, your role doesn't include it. Ask your account admin if you need access.
Step 1: Get to know the top bar
The bar across the top of every page has two controls:
- Business switcher. Shows which business you're working in right now. If you work for more than one business, pick the one you want here. On a phone, the switcher sits at the top of the side menu.
- Account menu (your picture or initials), top right. Shows the email you're signed in with, plus Settings, Join organization, Enable dark theme, and Logout.
Step 2: Use the side menu
On a computer, the side menu is always open down the left side of the screen. On a phone or a narrow window, select the menu button (☰) in the top left to open it. The menu is split into sections. Here's what each item is for.
Marketplace: your storefront and dispatch
- Dispatch. Incoming appointment requests. Approve them, assign a provider, or move them to the waitlist.
- Accounts. The client accounts that book with you, including their appointments, checkouts, memberships, and saved cards.
- Transactions. Charges, refunds, and payouts.
- Marketing. Tools for bringing in new clients, keeping them engaged, and managing reviews.
Your business (shown under your business name)
- Calendar. Every appointment and every provider's availability, by day or week.
- Appointments. All appointments in one list, with filters and an export button.
- Clients. Patient records and visit history.
- Personnel. Your staff and providers, their roles, and their availability.
- Procedures. The services you offer and what you charge.
- Medications. The medications your providers chart against.
- Settings. Your business details, staff roles, service area, payments, and integrations.
- Reports. Appointment and staff reports for any date range.
- My profile. Your own name, contact details, and availability.
EMR: clinical paperwork
- Form Templates. The charting and intake forms your providers fill out.
- Consent Forms. The consent documents patients sign.
Global: marketplace settings
- Marketplaces. Settings for your whole marketplace: your service catalog, memberships and packages, payments, checkout, promo codes, and integrations.
Step 3: Find your role
Here's what each role usually sees. Your admin can adjust roles, so yours may differ slightly.
- Business owners start on Dispatch and see everything listed in Step 2.
- Dispatchers start on Dispatch and see Dispatch, Accounts, Transactions, Calendar, Appointments, Clients, Personnel, Procedures, and My profile.
- Nurses and providers start on Appointments, which lists their own visits. They see Calendar, Appointments, Procedures, Medications, My profile, Form Templates, and Consent Forms.
Step 4: Switch businesses
If you work for more than one business, you have a profile for each. Select the business switcher in the top bar and choose the one you want. The side menu updates to match your role there. Have more than one role at the same business? You don't need to switch. Your menu already shows everything those roles allow.
Tips
- Prefer a darker screen? Open the account menu and select Enable dark theme.
- Missing a menu item you need? Your role doesn't include it yet. Ask your account admin to update your role.
