Medications

The medications catalog your providers chart against.

Build the medication catalog your providers chart against, and link medications and doses to each service.

Before you start

Your medication catalog lists every medication your providers give. Providers chart against it during visits, and each service can have a medication protocol: the medications and doses it normally includes. You'll need the business owner role to add or edit medications. Nurses can view the list.

Step 1: Open your medications

  1. In the side menu, select Medications.
  2. Each medication shows its name and the units it's measured in, like mg, mL, or mcg.

Step 2: Add a medication

  1. Select Add.
  2. Enter the Name. Include the generic name or strength so it's clear, for example "Ondansetron (Zofran)" or "Lidocaine 1%".
  3. Choose the Units.
  4. Select Save.

To edit or delete a medication, select it in the list.

Step 3: Link medications to a service

  1. In the side menu, select Procedures, then select a service.
  2. Medication Protocol lists the medications and doses for that service.
  3. Select the pencil icon to change the protocol, then select Save. Providers see the protocol when they chart the visit.

Tips

  • Add every medication your providers give, including add-ons and numbing agents, so charting is quick and consistent.
  • Use one entry per strength. "Lidocaine 1%" and "Lidocaine 2%" should be separate medications.
